Croatia Expands Employment Opportunities for Indonesian Workers

Growing labor demand in Croatia’s tourism sector continues to create opportunities for skilled Indonesian hospitality professionals.

Jakarta — Croatia continues to strengthen its position as one of Europe’s emerging destinations for Indonesian migrant workers, particularly in the hospitality and tourism sectors. As the country’s tourism industry continues to grow, employers are seeking additional international workers to help address ongoing labor shortages across hotels, restaurants, and other tourism-related businesses.

According to Indonesia’s Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI), Croatia remains one of the European countries with strong potential for expanding formal worker placement. The growing demand is driven by the country’s tourism sector, which requires a larger workforce during both peak and extended tourist seasons.

Hospitality positions such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service, Kitchen Staff, Front Office, and Hotel Operations continue to be among the roles frequently required by employers. These positions offer Indonesian workers opportunities to gain international experience while contributing to Croatia’s expanding tourism industry.

The Indonesian government continues working to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Croatia to ensure that worker placement is carried out through safe and official recruitment channels. Authorities also emphasize the importance of competency development, language preparation, and compliance with legal placement procedures before departure.

Officials believe that well-prepared candidates will have greater opportunities to meet international recruitment standards while supporting the long-term sustainability of overseas employment programs.

For prospective hospitality professionals, Croatia represents one of several European destinations experiencing continued workforce demand. As hotels and tourism businesses prepare for future growth, candidates with practical hospitality skills, strong work ethics, and international service knowledge are expected to remain competitive in the recruitment process.

The continued expansion of employment opportunities also reflects Croatia’s confidence in Indonesian workers, whose professionalism and adaptability have contributed positively to the country’s hospitality industry in recent years.
